We hate to say goodbye, but this is the last SU update email of the academic year.

Don’t worry, we’ll still be posting regularly on our Instagram, and any SU related news can be found on our website.

The SU team will also be working hard over the summer to welcome your new student officers and get ready for your return in September. We’ll also be saying goodbye to Indi over the summer and welcoming Trinity and Janet as your new Presidents

It’s been a really exciting year for the SU, with our new building, new branding, and new structures. Most importantly, it’s been exciting to do more things with more students this year. From clubs and societies to bingo nights, reps, the pantry, parties, and just hanging out, it’s been amazing to see so many of you get involved.

We’re looking forward to doing it all over again in September.

Have the best summer, and we’ll see you next term!

We will still be available to support you during the summer break.

If you need support from the SU over the summer please reach out to studentsunion@norwichuni.ac.uk or su.advice@norwichuni.ac.uk

If you need urgent support you may want to contact:

💚Norfolk MAP (support for people aged 11-25 in Norfolk)

📞Samaritans (call 116 123 if you're struggling to cope)

🩺NHS 111 (call 111 for non-emergency healthcare support)

🏠Shelter UK (housing and accommodation advice/support)

Before you go, we have to remind you about one final week of fun we have planned!

We can’t wait to see all our incredible volunteers later today at Yalm for our Volunteer Awards. We’ll be announcing our 16 winners and enjoying lots of free pizza. There will also be a chance to win prizes and free drinks. If you haven’t grabbed your free ticket yet, you can do so using thi link SU Volunteer Awards . We’ve opened this event up to all students, as we know many of you will want to come along and support your friends.

Tomorrow, we’ll be hosting our annual Stay for May Market. We have over 20 students selling their incredible handmade creations. Come along to DS4 between 11:00 and 15:00 to check it out.

Finally, we can’t wait to see you all on Friday for our End of Year Summer Party, one final chance to dance the night away and celebrate the end of the academic year. We still have a couple of tickets left, which you can grab via this link - Summer Party - Stay for May

We’ll also be sending out one final notification this week for all ticket holders, so please keep an eye on your emails for that.

Grad Fest -

Make sure you join us for our Grad Fest Student Market happening on the 13th of June.

We have 25 incredible final-year students selling their handmade pieces one final time.

The market will run from 11:00–15:00 in DS4.

Our Grad Fest Market is open to members of the public, so remember to bring your friends and family along to have a look.

Indi -

As many of you know, our incredible President, Indi, is getting ready to say goodbye. Indi has been a vital part of our SU team for the last two years and has worked incredibly hard to contribute positively to the student experience. We appreciate everything she has done for the university and our students.

She has a few more weeks with us before she heads off to start a new adventure, but she wanted to send you a message before you all head home for the summer.

If you do see Indi over the next few weeks, make sure you say farewell, we know she’ll miss you all very much.

A message from Indi -

This is a little sign off for our final email of the year, and also for my final few weeks as Norwich University of the Arts Students’ Union President.

It has honestly been an honour that you chose me to represent you over the last two years. During that time, the SU has gone through a huge amount of change, and while it has definitely been exciting, amazing, challenging, and at times stressful, I’m incredibly proud of the place I’m leaving it in.

One of the best parts of this role has been meeting so many passionate, creative, and caring students who genuinely want to make a difference within the university community. Thank you to everyone who has supported the SU, attended events, shared ideas, challenged us, and helped shape what the Students’ Union has become.

I’m also incredibly excited to see the next chapter of the SU with your two new Presidents, Janet and Trinity. I have complete faith that they will do an amazing job, and I know the SU is in very safe hands moving forward.

Thank you again for trusting me with this role. It’s been a privilege to be part of your university experience, and I can’t wait to see what comes next for both the SU and all of you.

Wishing you all the best,

Indi
