Freshers Feedback Survey 📢
There’s still time to complete our Freshers Survey! One lucky student who fills in the form will win a Freshers Hamper, including a £20 voucher of your choice. The survey will close on Monday, 20th October, and the winner will be contacted via email shortly after.
Introducing Little Acts of Joy 🧸
Being a student can be tough, so we’ve launched a new initiative to spread some happiness where we can. Little Acts of Joy is all about mini events and giveaways throughout the year to bring joy to our students.
We launched last week with our Adopt a Teddy station and have two more events coming up in October including a Halloween Craft Night and a Coffee & Cake Station.

Black History Month 💛❤️💚
This month, we’re celebrating Black History Month. We recently had the pleasure of hosting Society Alive in our SU Loft, serving delicious home-cooked food.
There’s a full schedule of events available to sign up for via our website, including a Movie Night, a Black Student Social, and Daniel’s mapped out Workshop.
Daniel will also be releasing two special Black History Month episodes of his podcast, In the Booth, which you can watch on our YouTube channel.

Night Time Safety Survey 🌚
We want to ensure our students feel as safe as possible on nights out. We plan on creating free night time safety kits to give out to students, which will include small and transportable items to keep you safe, whether you plan on drinking or not. We want your input on what we should stock in these kits! Your response will help us to know how many people we can reach, and also what our students think are the most important items for nights out.
Respond by morning on the 20th October to be entered into a prize draw to win a £20 voucher!
Equity, Diversity, Inclusion & Welfare Council 🏳️🌈
Come along and join us on Wednesday for our first EDIWC of the year. All students are welcome to attend to raise issues on inclusion and community within the university. This is a place to Find Your Voice and build solidarity... also there will be free pizza!

Winter Market Sign-Up Form ❄️
Exciting news! This year, we’ll be hosting our very own Student Winter Market at the Forum. On 1st December, we’ve hired the entire ground floor of the Forum and are offering students the chance to sell their amazing art and creations to the public.
The market will run from 11:00 – 19:00, and we have 40 tables available.
There is a small £5 fee if you wish to attend. Please fill out the form at the bottom of this email to register your interest. Sign-ups close on 1st November, and you’ll be contacted after this date if you’ve been selected to sell at the market.
