We're delighted to have you with us for this new year at Norwich Arts Students' Union.
We are run by you, for you and for all students.
We'll help you find your voice by making sure you have a say in your education; by providing expert independent advice when things go wrong; and by making sure that you have support to campaign for the changes you want to see.
We'll help you find your people by supporting a diverse range of clubs and societies; by bringing you together with people who share your lived experience; and building communities across the student body. We'll help you to find you fun by putting on events through the year; having engaging ways of communicating to you; and providing joyful experiences because joy is good!
There are loads of ways you can get involved with your SU and the best way to start is by coming to say hello!

FRESHERS FEEDBACK -
Thank you all for coming along and making Freshers so amazing! It was wonderful to meet all the new students and see some familiar faces back on campus. It’s been a busy week filled with grabbing freebies, exploring Norwich, and taking part in fun activities.
If you were unable to take part in Freshers this year, don’t worry, we have plenty more events lined up for you. Keep an eye on our social media and website for updates.
We’d love to hear your feedback! Your input will help us improve our events throughout the year and make next year’s Freshers even better. Plus, one lucky student who completes the form will win a £100 Deliveroo voucher.

SU SOCIETIES ARE BACK -
Hopefully, you had a chance to chat with some of our amazing societies at the Freshers Fair on Friday! If you didn’t manage to stop by but still want to learn more about a society or find out how to join, you can visit our website. Many of our societies also have their own social media accounts, so give them a follow for more updates.
If you didn’t find a society that suits you, there’s always the option to start your own. It’s a super easy process, and all the information you need to get started can be found on the Start a New Society page on the website.
Remember, you can join a society at any point during the year, and you don’t have to be a first-year student to sign up!
SU REP ELECTIONS -
Rep Elections are here, and we’re looking for students who want to represent the interests of their course and peers.
The main responsibilities of a Student Rep include being a welcoming and approachable point of contact for fellow students, regularly meeting with course leaders to share feedback
(both positive and constructive), attending AARC meetings and termly Student Rep Group (SRG) meetings with other reps and the university’s senior leadership team.
If you are interested in becoming a Rep, make sure you nominate yourself. A member of the SU team will be dropping into one of your lectures this week to take nominations and run the Rep election.
In the meantime, if you’d like more information about the Student Rep role, head over to the Student Voice section of our website.
INTRODUCING LITTLE ACTS OF JOY -
Being a student can be tough, so last year we launched a new initiative to spread some happiness wherever we can. Little Acts of Joy is all about mini events and giveaways throughout the year, designed to bring a little extra joy to our students.
After a successful first year, we’re pleased to announce that it’s back for another year!!!!
You can join us for our first event this Thursday at 12:00.
Pop over to the SU Loft and grab yourself a free bag of Pick N Mix.
Keep an eye on our socials for all the latest event updates!
