Here at the SU, we're in charge of all things fun and that includes Freshers.
We’re excited to announce that Freshers Week will run from the 15th to the 21st of September, with a jam-packed schedule of over 30 different events for you to explore!
We understand that moving to a new place can be daunting, and the thought of meeting new people might feel overwhelming. That’s why we’ve put together a list of useful tips and information to help you settle in.

How do I book tickets?
Booking tickets for Freshers events is super easy!
Click on the link at the bottom of this page to go to our events page. There, you'll need to log into your account or sign up if you don't already have one. Once logged in, you can view all events and purchase tickets.
What do I need to bring to freshers events?
Please make sure to bring your Stdent ID to all events.
This helps us verify that you are a student. If you are attending any evening events or any events marked 18+, please also bring a valid form of photo ID.
Can I bring a plus one to an event?
Unfortunately, you are unable to bring non-students to the events.
Our events have limited capacity, so we need to prioritise attendance for students.
I’m not a new student, am I still able to attend?
Yes, all Norwich Uni students are welcome to attend our events, no matter what year you're in.
I am nervous about attending, what should I do?
We understand that Freshers can be overwhelming for students. If you want to attend an event but are feeling nervous, please reach out to us via email at studentsunion@norwichuni.ac.uk or send us a message on Instagram. We can arrange for a member of staff to be there to support you.
If you feel anxious during an event, there will be SU staff on hand to help. We'll be wearing SU Staff t-shirts, so we’ll be easy to spot.
We also offer a range of events designed to help you meet new people in a more relaxed setting, such as the Anti-Freshers Ice Cream Club and Anti-Freshers Donut Club
