Welcome to Freshers Week ! 🥳
We're delighted to have you with us for this new year at Norwich Arts Students' Union. We are run by you, for you and for all students. We'll help you find your voice by making sure you have a say in your education; by providing expert independent advice when things go wrong; and by making sure that you have support to campaign for the changes you want to see. We'll help you find your people by supporting a diverse range of clubs and societies; by bringing you together with people who share your lived experience; and building communities across the student body. We'll help you to find you fun by putting on events through the year; having engaging ways of communicating to you; and providing joyful experiences because joy is good!
There are loads of ways you can get involved with your SU and the best way to start is by coming to say hello!

Message from your presidents 💬
We’ve really missed your presence over the summer. While you’ve been away, we’ve been working hard and planning an exciting year ahead for you. One of the things we’re most excited about is our brand-new SU Loft, a space for you to hang out with friends, get some work done, and make the most of the space through clubs and societies.
We can’t wait to catch up, hear about your summer, and see some friendly faces back around campus. Make sure to check out everything we’ve got coming up, there’s plenty you’ll want to get involved with. Keep your eyes peeled; we don’t want you to miss out!
This year, we’re coming back as a bigger team, with more support and more opportunities for you. We’re excited to get started on our manifestos many of our goals have already been included in this year’s plan, and we can’t wait to see them come to life.
Here’s to a year of building community, making memories, and working hard (but not too hard, don’t forget to take a break every now and then!).
Community circles 🌍
Introducing Community Circles! A brand-new initiative to help you find your people within communities that share your lived experience. There are six community circles: Pride, Trans and Nonbinary, BAME, Mature, Women and Disabled. Their first meet ups are taking place next week and you can book your spot here https://norwichartssu.native.fm/
Societies 🤝
Societies are back! Check out what societies we have at Norwich Arts SU and grab your membership on our website. Make sure to follow your favourites on Instagram for updates on events and meet ups. https://www.norwichsu.co.uk/groups
Rep info 🎓
Introducing Student Reps
This year, we’re building on the brilliant work our Student Reps have already been doing while making a few changes to ensure the system is clearer for students, more accountable, and more effective for everyone.
What do Student Reps do?
Student Reps are the voice of their course. They share student feedback, push for positive changes when needed, and work with course leaders to keep improving their teaching experience.
Elections will take place in class between 29 September and 10 October, led by the SU.
Got questions about the elections or the Rep system?

Daniel workshop 👾
Daniel’s Workshops are here!
One of Daniel’s manifesto promises was to create more spaces where we can chat about the stuff uni doesn’t usually cover. That’s why he’s kicking off his brand-new Workshop Series, starting with How to Budget.
Date: 24th September
Location: DS3
Time: 1:30pm – 2:30pm
Whether you’re a fresher stressing about student finance, or a returning student who just wants to get on top of money this year, this chilled workshop is for you. Expect minigames, an open Q&A, free food (yes, free food) and some genuinely useful tips you can put into practice straight away. Book on via our website!
Oh, and if you haven’t checked it out yet, Daniel’s also dropped his very first podcast episode. Give it a listen!
